Platja de Palmanova o Cala Blanca está a siete kilómetros de Calvià, situada entre Punta Nadala y es Carregador. Este arenal forma parte del conjunto de tres playas -ésta, Son Maties y es Carregador- que agrupa la urbanización Palmanova, antiguos terrenos de la possessió de ses Planes que dieron pie a la construcción el año 1934 de la primera zona residencial de este municipio.
Los alojamientos vacacionales, locales nocturnos y otros servicios destinados al turismo de masas forman el paisaje urbano de este arenal, convirtiéndolo en uno de los principales núcleos turísticos calvianers. También recibe una afluencia masiva de bañistas locales.
Esta playa tiene una extensión de medio kilómetro y ha necesitado una regeneración artificial para conseguir su aspecto actual de fina arena blanca, así como sus dimensiones, ya que las corrientes marinas provocan modificaciones en su litoral según la época del año.
La mejor zona para el fondeo de una embarcación en este arenal se localiza en las proximidades de Punta Nadala, abierta a los vientos de componente noreste-este, donde se hallará un fondo de arena, a una profundidad que oscila entre los tres y los cinco metros de profundidad. A media milla marina de distancia se encuentra la instalación portuaria más cercana, Club Nàutic Santa Ponça.
El acceso por carretera es sencillo siguiendo la señalización viaria y los desvíos. El vehículo particular se podrá estacionar de manera gratuita por las calles próximas al núcleo turístico. Platja de Palmanova or Cala Blanca is situated at seven kilometres from Calvià, between Punta Nadala and es Carregador. This sandy area belongs to the three beaches of the village of Palmanova, this one, Son Maties and es Carregador, built on the former possessió de ses Planes. The construction began in 1934 and it is the first residential area of this municipality.
The touristic buildings, the night clubs and other facilities for the mass tourism characterize this urban setting of the sandy area, and it is one of the most important touristic villages of Calvià. But it is also very crowded by local visitors.
This beach has an extension of half a kilometre and it has been artificially regenerated to have the current aspect, fine-grained white sand, huge extensions which may be modified by the sea currents depending on the season.
The best are for anchoring boats in front of this sandy area is in the surroundings of Punta Nadala, open to the wind from the northeast and east, where there is a sandy ground and the depth ranges from three to five metres. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic Santa Ponça, at half a nautical mile.

Platja de Palmanova oder Cala Blanca liegt zwischen Punta Nadala und es Carregador, sieben Kilometer von Calvià entfernt. Der Strand bildet zusammen mit zwei weiteren Stränden, Son Maties und es Carregador, welcher die Urbanisation Palmanova bildet, ehemalige Gebiete der possessió de ses Planes, in welchen im Jahr 1934 das erste Wohngebiet dieser Gemeinde gebaut wurde.
Die Ferienunterkünfte, Nachtlokale und andere Einrichtungen für den Massentourismus bilden das urbane Bild dieses Strandes und machen aus ihm einen der Haupttouristenzeorte Calviàs Ere weist auch eine hohe Besucherzahl von einheimischen Badegästen auf.
Dieser Strand besitzt eine Ausdehnung von einem halben Kilometer und wurde einer künstlichen Regenerierung unterzogen, um ihm seinen jetzigen Charakter eines Strandes mit feinem weißen Sand zu verleihen, die auch seine Ausmaße beeinflusst hat, da die Meeresströmungen je nach Jahreszeit Veränderungen an seinem Küstenstreifen hervorrufen.
Die beste Ankerzone befindet sich in der Nähe von Punta Nadala, die gegen Nordost-Ost offen ist und einen Ankergrund von Sand bei einer Tiefe von drei bis fünf Metern aufweist. Eine halbe nautische Meile entfernt befindet sich die nächst gelegene Hafeneinrichtung, der Club Nàutic Santa Ponça.
Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto ist einfach, man folge der Beschilderung und den Abzweigungen. Das Auto kann gratis in den umgebenden Straßen geparkt werden. Man kann auch mit dem öffentlichen Bus fahren; die nächste Haltestelle befindet sich in unmittelbarer Umgebung vom Strand.Top
